Job Opening

As a Chiefs fan I think about this far too much so I thought I'd throw it out there. For the last few weeks I've been sold on keeping Romeo Crennel as the head coach. I am a fan of what he has done for our defense and would not be disappointed if that is how it goes down. That being said, the more I read about Joe Philbin the more I like him. He has spent his entire career with the Packers and been surrounded by solid football people. Between 2007-2010 his offenses scored more points in franchise history than any other four year span. During that same time they also had the fewest turnovers than any other four year period. That is even more impressive to me considering the franchise. Packer offenses under Philbin have been top ten every season. The defense is handled in my opinion, we need an offensive minded coach who will not act like he has won Super Bowls until he has actually won Super Bowls. This would be a good move for Kansas City.

In a perfect world I would grab Philbin and keep Crennel on defense. Like I said before, I think he has done an excellent job with the defense. I would like him to be able to focus on that as he has always had success there. Maybe a new head coach would not be able to keep the former interim coach, maybe they could make it work. Only one way to find out.

  1. I don't want anything to do with a "Coordinator" that hasn't called a single play in his life, regardless of what organization he comes from.
